As the Global CEO of Omnicom Media Group’s investment capability, Barry is focused on continuously improving the performance, reputation and value-proposition of the group and its brands. Barry is passionate about developing the existing business model to drive change, especially around the development of new success metrics for clients and the possibility of driving new currencies that will help clients in realizing real time efficiencies and business growth that’s measurable.
Barry was one of the pioneers in setting up Omnicom’s media operations in Eastern Europe and growing OMG’ operations in Asia Pacific for the past six years. Under Barry’s leadership both entities grew to become significant forces within today’s global network. In Asia Pacific, Barry was the inspiration behind the success of Omnicom’s award winning media brands. Under his tenure, OMG agencies won the coveted Campaign Agency of the Year title, four times of the five years OMG entered under his leadership.
A man of insights, Barry shares his opinion on the industry, frequently through press articles, and as a speaker at regional and global events. Barry was part of the Cannes Media Lions Jury, chaired the Lynx Awards and several Asian festivals and was recognized as an Agency Innovator by The Internationalist in 2011. Based now in London and frequently New York, Barry is married with two daughters and enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing in his free time his passion for historical research and his football team Arsenal FC.
